US Senate to approve legislation that allows victims to sue Saudi Arabia September 11
WASHINGTON The US Senate on Tuesday approved legislation that would allow for the survivors of the September 11 attacks and the families of the victims to bring legal proceedings against the Saudi government for damages.
It was approved legislation that defines the name of justice law against terrorism sponsors collective consent of the members of the Council.
If approved by the House of Representatives on legislation and signed by President Barack Obama it will allow to proceed with the claims of the Federal Court in New York seeking to prove that the Saudis were involved in the attacks on the World Trade Center and the US Department of Defense (Pentagon) in 2001.
